The law firm of Agee, Van Atta, & Owens, LLC, announces its newest addition to the firm, Michael C. Gillespie, as well as the opening of a Murfreesboro office on the historic downtown square.
Gillespie brings a great amount of knowledge and expertise to the firm, which is able to serve clients all across the State of Tennessee.
Gillespie, a Murfreesboro native, graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2005, with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with an emphasis in Pre-Law, where he made the Dean’s List for four semesters. Gillespie was also the recipient of the Academic Service Scholarship Award for four years. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he attended Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he graduated in 2008. He was an active member in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, and received an Honorable Mention in Appellate Oral Arguments in 2006.
Upon graduation, Gillespie returned to Murfreesboro to begin a yearlong clerkship for the Honorable J. Mark Rogers, Circuit Judge for the 16th Judicial District of Tennessee. During his clerkship, Gillespie assisted Judge Rogers in preparation for cases, which included research and writing memoranda of law on a wide range of civil matters.
Gillespie joined Agee, Van Atta, & Owens, LLC, in August of 2009, where his areas of practice include labor/employment law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, domestic relations, and criminal defense. Please feel free to contact Gillespie for any legal issues you may encounter at:
