A fugitive wanted for a shooting a man 15 times in Georgia was apprehended Tuesday by Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the U.S. Marshals at a Murfreesboro motel, according to authorities familiar with the case.
Farraknad Mohammed Price, 18, of Atlanta, has been wanted on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a felony with a firearm, said Rutherford County detective Chuck Thomas, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
Price was accused of shooting Orentheal Childs numerous times during a Feb. 15 incident in Atlanta, according to the arrest warrant.
Authorities believe Price is a member of the Folk Nation gang.
The marshals received information Price was staying at Knight’s Inn on South Church Street. A team of marshals and deputies apprehended him at the motel and brought him to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held for the Atlanta Police Department.
He is also facing a charge of being a fugitive from justice in Rutherford County.
