Funeral arrangements set for Tennessee State Trooper

NASHVILLE - Funeral services have been set for Tennessee State Trooper Andy Wall, who died Saturday night in the line of duty.
 
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 at the Taylor Funeral Home on 214 Main Street in Dickson, Tennessee, and from 10 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, May 12 at Walnut Street Church of Christ located at 201 Center Avenue in Dickson.   
 
The memorial service is scheduled to start at Noon on Thursday at Walnut Street Church of Christ. Immediately following, Trooper Wall will be laid to rest at Cumberland Furnace Cemetery at 5297 Highway 48N in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol along with various law enforcement agencies will serve as active pallbearers. The THP Honor Guard will provide full honors.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made in Andy Wall’s name to the Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (C.O.P.S.).  Donations can be made through www.nationalcops.org
 
Wall, a seven-year veteran of the Highway Patrol, is survived by his father Tom, a retired Dickson County Sheriff; his mother, Wendy; sister, Rachel; and girlfriend, Cindy Massey.
 
A native of Wayne, Michigan, Wall graduated from Dickson County High School in 1992. He joined the Highway Patrol in January of 2004 and was first assigned to Humphreys County. He also served stints in Dickson and Cheatham counties. In 2008, Trooper Wall completed training to become a member of the Nashville District Motorcycle Squad. Prior to becoming a State Trooper, Wall worked with the Dickson Police Department from 1996 – 2004.  
 
Wall was an avid sports and music fan, who enjoyed traveling to venues around the country for ball games and concerts. He was also a recreational motorcycle rider.
 
Trooper Wall will also be honored along with 38 Tennessee State Troopers who have died in the line of duty at the annual THP Memorial Service on May 20.
