The final installment of MainStreet Murfreesboro’s Friday Night Live concert series is set for Friday, Sept. 2 with the father and son duo of The O’Donnells.

Influenced by classic country artists such as Merle Haggard and Ronnie Milsap among others, Darryl O’Donnell’s blood has been pumping with music as long as he can remember.

At the same time, Darryl’s son, Klinton, started early as well as he began playing piano and singing during his teenage years and has performed in different variations with T. Graham Brown, John Conley and Mel McDaniel.

Fans should expect a mix of styles and songs that may run the gamut from Bruce Hornsby’s “The Way It Is” to Marc Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis.”

“We’re going to have a full band. We’ll play some good music with a little bit of country, bluegrass and pop. We’ll also have some originals along with old gospel, “ said Darryl O’Donnel in a recent interview.

Friday’s concert will make the group’s second appearance at Main Street Live and they are ready and willing to perform.

“We’re going to have fun with the people and put on a good show. This is about my favorite gig all year with the larger crowd, “ noted O’Donnel.

The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and is held on the Square.  MP
