The photo caption " Dr. Chontel Bridgeman, principal Campus School has been under fire from parent Tracy Pack since she was first appointed the same year" is not 100% accurate. Dr. Pack donate computers for the computer lab and according to the DNJ volunteered to raise $1m for phase 4 of building renovations. Pack and his child were personally attacked by Bridgeman. The Pack family are not the only ones attacked by Bridgeman, other families were targeted and driven from Campus School.

Wasn't Bridgeman deposed a couple weeks ago? We would really like to know what was said in that deposition. The Post reported on the mosque depositions, why not this one? I hope it will be part of another story in this subject in the future!

Thank you Murfreesboro Post for doing what the DNJ wouldn't, report the truth. I sure hope justice is served for all the families targeted and forced to leave over the last two years.

The Post will report on the depositions. Unfortunately it takes time to process them after the fact and Bridgeman's depositions were not available as yet. But we will report on them when they become available.

I agree with another of the posts. The DNJ is part of the problem in failing to report news items that attack the people they protect. I am very interested in the checks to the hotel and food expenses. Illegal spending may not be proven, but have to admit it looks rather damaging. What is the deal on not being able to produce checks? Don't they have bookkeeping procedures in place?

I am not Tracy Pack; I am no ONE person . . . I am a collaboration of many who stand together. For those of you whom follow Gertrude’s blog know there is no ONE person that could have so much knowledge. Faith Builder acts as if being a part of gracefulgertrude is bad; Gertrude has done nothing but report factual information and attempt to "reveal" the truth; the negativity and destruction a principal, secretary, PTC President and a few teachers have brought to a 80 year old Educational Institution built to support Elementary School aged children.

My family has been involved with Campus School since the 50's. It is ashame that it has turned into the complete opposite of what it was created to be. SO~Thank you Dr. Pack for the willingness to go forward and expose those that have cheated, told lies about good people, gotten people fired, bullied children, bullied adults, and just basically been down right bad people. It is such ashame that our leaders preach against this stuff yet they do it and put up with those who do it!
And who really cares who GracefulGertrude is....OH wait, I guess if you have been called out and EXPOSED for the bad person you are.....but those of us who only want the truth to be exposed.... ROCK ON GG! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!

Here are a few FACTS that Mr. Pack and Mrs. Penny Hunter-Davis fail to mention in their blog on Graceful Gertrude. Mrs. Hunter-Davis is the author while the information is provided by Mr. Pack. They claim they put out the truth, but actually they put out misguided bits of the truth. modified emails...which is against the law. If you are going to print anything why block out names, and change around the verbage? Check with your attorney. They claim they have been bullied and pushed out of the school. No one was asked to leave...they left because they could no longer run the show and control the teachers and curriculum. They were seen for who they really are and no longer could rule a spineless principal. The jig was up and the rules of Rutherford County were going to have to be followed and they could no longer have their "private school" run on the tax payers dime. It was going to have to follow the rules of every other county school. As it should!
1. Campus School was run by the PTC. Registration was conducted by the parents, request were given for the teacher you wanted, the teachers catered to the parents whims. Parents were allowed to sit in classrooms all day with no purpose. Visit in the hallways and with teachers all day. The parents liked to think they were "helping". It was a social club for these parents.
2. The grades were the lowest in the county. TCAP tests became more important and the school was failing. MTSU was disappointed and alot of parents were concerned with the education their children were receiving. Some were not, because as long as their children were having "fun" they were happy.
3. The cleanliness of the school was terrible. Even the teachers complained. Nothing was done. '
4. Money that was being raised by the PTC was not being spent on the students. but sitting in an account. The Board requires that money raised must be spent in the school year. When Dr. Bridgeman took over this was being done.
5. Technology was being ignored...the computers donated by some were so outdated they did not work half the time. Under Dr. Bridgeman 27 lap tops were purchased, security cameras for every door, teachers lounge remodeled, the school was cleaned and remains cleaned, a new phone system purchased, a lcd data projectors for every classroom purchased, and numerous other things.
6. MTSU provided a person to check every students ID entering the building...this was never done before...over 400 ppl a day entering the school on a whim. The school started complying with every rule the County set forth. Before she came...it was a "free for all" 16 checking accounts...a mess! Ask the right questions.
7. The PTC and the checking accounts of the school have ALWAYS been monitored by the State, and County. This article leads you to believe there are misappropriations....not true. These people tried intimidation with racist slurs and attacks on the building...when this didn't work they tried harassment. They no longer attend the school and were not asked to leave...they left on their own. Several (you know who you are were caught in lies) I guess they left embarrassed at their behavior.
These changes were inevitable...however these people want to make someone pay. Who is it gonna be? Harry Gill is their latest. They are going to keep on with their intimidation until they "win".
These acts are done by people that are racists. Read between the lines. This is a choice school. The people there are happy. These people are no longer there. as far as money written to restaurants and vanderbilt....according to the school board these are under what every other school spends for the same things. The teachers were fed for the days they worked while in training. I have seen the checks and spoken with the school board. They assured me that these expenses were standard...only Mr. Pack had a problem with the teachers being fed and entertained while working at seminars. Every school does this! Why isn't their a problem with their spending...why not call them to task Mr. Pack....your kids don't attend those schools either. YOu have just as much a right to defend the parents and tax payers that attend John Pittard, but your not calling those schools to questions. hmmmm must be that you don't care for Dr. Bridgeman....why? Can you honestly answer that question? Everyone is waiting to hear.

You say you have been targeted...has anyone started a blog to destroy your reputation? Has anyone called you to be deposed in a lawsuit? Has anyone vandalized your building or your home? All of those things have been done to people you are targeting. Any thing that is being done to your reputation is being done by you.

One thing that is interesting to note...if this is not about racism...do some digging on how many children of color attended the school before Dr. Bridgeman arrived. One or two minorities per grade...who controlled that list? How was it decided who got in? I think you will see a difference in the future. Equality is an ugly word to some people.

Also Gertrude check your facts regarding the computers that you mention were donated by Mr. Pack. Those were donated under Dr. Baskins tenure. He is the one that wrote the oh so generous tax exempt letter for those computers. Just another way you distort the truth to your liking.

I find it curious that when the facts are put out there is never a comment...some random quote. Answer the questions....you have levied some very serious allegations with nothing....nothing to prove them. This lawsuit is another attempt to create something out of nothing. For you to be correct...many people have to be involved in a "conspiracy" Your attorney is green as can be. I guess he is the only person that would attempt such a weak claim. You are clearly desperate and off your medication and feel very insignificant as a person, which is why you have done what you have done to so many. See you 8/22/2011. Post whatever makes you happy, Gertrude knows the truth and we think you are too sick to tell the difference.

Why the checks with signatures blanked out? Why the altered sign out sheets? You don't answer any of the questions, but spew a whole bunch of allegations.
I can only imagine how the parents of campus feel about being called racists. Really? You should be ashamed of yourself for even bringing it up. The ONLY people who have ever played the race card are the two former PTC presidents, one of whom is now the school secretary. One can only assume this post is from one of you, since you seem to have all the answers and "have seen the checks." You state "the school board has released nothing to you." You state this with some certainty as if you are in a position to know, or as if you were one who obstructed the requests.

Casual Observer... sounds like you too know a little too much. Let me inform you and your "collaborators" of the truth. Tax payers are funding your little lawsuits by Mr. Pack. The tax payer will pay Jeff Reid to defend this frivolous lawsuit in court. When he loses....bacause there is not merit. He will not have to reimburse us one dime. How is that justice? His lawsuit is meant to cast dispursions to her character. That is it. He really does not want to win. That is his "win" While we as tax payers pay the bill. The checks have been provided...many times to many people. Some keep losing them. Do you realize who has to go through all of that information? I suppose not since you all have not thought about who is suffering here. or don't care. There is not a group of people running around just to dig up checks and letters and files at Mr. Pack's whim? That is time that is being taken away from educating our children and running a business. He continues to use his "rights" to legally harass this principal and this school and the School Board. Shame on him.
Everything he has asked for has been provided...his goal is not to find out information...it is to cast dispursions on Dr. Bridgemans character and professional reputation. Sick. My children attended Campus School & I looked forward to new ideas & change from Dr. Bridgeman. Many were good ideas and benefits were gained. However, after the PTC began giving her large lump sums to be spent based upon relatively ambiguous definitions; it was only a matter a time that some parents wanted some accountability for their money. I am a CPA and sent a respectful email to Dr. Bridgeman asking to see the information and said I felt it would help her with support and respect from all of the parents. She replied and said the books were already audited by an outside company at the end of the year.
After this point, my middle son (in 6th grade) began telling me about various minor issues that had been blown into major events related to him. The last one was when he was being forced to sit in 5th grade & miss an end of year graduation field trip because my name was printed (versus a true signature) on a line with “parent name” on it. There was no attempt to contact me to correct this “error”, just a punishment to sit in a 5th grade classroom. He called me that day, I picked him up & he transferred schools with 3 weeks left in the school year. This is only one story of one family.
I recently obtained an email from a former parent (NOW the school secretary who replaced the one who had been there for over a decade and was let go by Dr. Bridgeman) to Dr. Bridgeman. This was dated after my request for financial information & at approximately the time my son’s school stories began. It spoke of several families that should be made examples of, and how the ironic that the families named “Wilson” are the center of so much trouble. The fact that Dr. Bridgeman dismissed a loyal employee and hired this school mom is troubling to me.
As far as financial issues are concerned, I am currently in contact with the State Comptroller’s office and provided financial information because of the concerns I have from my previous experience in governmental and non-profit auditing. I think they will be a good third party to look into this; however, it will have to be worked into their audit plan. I will say that just from what I have provided, I would be surprised if this is all about “nothing”. I also sent a letter to Mr. Gill with my supporting information and had a respectful, but basically non-productive meeting with his Financial Director (from my opinion). I sent this because I try not to do anything anonymously.

I think if you could read my post you would see I addressed your concerns over checks written. Also signatures being taken off of checks is the policy of the Rford Board of Education....once again...do your research. or I guess keep using wikipedia instead of actually taking yourself down to the school board for the answers. The Board has pacified you people and to a fault. There were audits done...but not to your liking. please....when you do have meetings they are "unproductive", maybe because you can't say what you want or are looking for....but there must be a problem. Shame on you for sitting at Cracker Barrell and reading private emails...once again...if you wanted to know what I or anyone else thinks of you...ask me! Isn't this all about finding out what people are saying about you behind your back? Because there is nothing else. The Board, McPhee and city councilmen, newspapers...are all in cahoots to hide something from you. My Gosh...get a grip. Candi, check your facts...the secretary you speak of was not employed by Campus School, but hired as a liason for MTSU. She never did or never has since replaced the former secretary. The secretary/bookkeeper you speak of is Stephanie. Stephanie was hired to replace the former secretary/bookkeeper. Please speak correctly if you are going to speak out. I do not recall ever seeing you ask for checks throughout your tenure at Campus School. and I believe you were there a while. Only when Mr. Pack started all of this. The ease with which you accuse others of racism and harassment is disturbing. It is a very serious charge,but you make the statement with no basis or statment of fact to support it. wow...worth getting a user name for! I knew Candy tried to get checks and info but didn't. Nothing is typing a lot and saying nothing that I can believe. There are many laws in Tennessee and the United States , ie sunshine law, freedom of information act , that ensure that the government or people in power must be open and forthcoming to prevent abuse of powers and authority. If there is nothing to hide then the Principal, school board should have immediately turned over requested items. In everything I have read it seems that efforts were made to delay and even conceal evidence that would either clear or convict person(s) involved. There is always a little truth in "where there is smoke, there is fire." I knew Mr Homer Pittard and his wife Mabel. I would have to believe if he were alive today he would have an extension ladder on the front of campus school removing his name from it.

by the way..when the school was put on probation from the state for the continued poor grades...that career educator submitted the same plan of improvement two years in a row. embarrassing...in his "plan" he was putting people in charge of areas that were no longer at the school. (retired) What a shame...you would think someone would care enough to actually create a plan to help increase the scores instead of pulling the same plan from last year and resubmitting. Those kids deserved better!

I was actually an involved partent...i didn't send my husband or neighbors to meetings or fieldtrips. If you were actually concerned about anything but your social club and going for botox you would know these things. Did you ever ask any tough questions while you were a parent? You can go and see the school report cards...many didn't care about the quality of education...just the field trips. It was common knowledge...but you didn't care about any of that until you found out people were writing things about you in private emails. once again your pride...not your children's education was the most important thing. Check the State of Tennessee website for the information you desire....but since it is now 4 years old...i guess your once again a day late and a dollar short. You should have been studying that then! Our school was on academnic probation...it was called a school improvement plan....obviously you were so busy doing macaroni art you forgot to check on the substance. Wow...shocking.. and you claim to be a casual observer...maybe you were a little too casual about the quality of education your child was receiving. I was/am an INVOLVED PARENT...not by sitting in the classroom but by looking at my childrens scores amd comparing their drop or increase yearly...do you know what a TCAP is? This information is old...this is Baskin's information...of course they agreed. LOL The new information has not been listed. No wonder you can't find the date. That is not her words... Huntsville has not been done since Dr. Bridgeman came to CS. It cannot be her quote. Look on page 3...its states Rita King...you are looking at an old TSIPP...thats the problem...you do not do thorough research. My gosh....now we know where the disconnect is....duh!! Oh Orthovol isn't that exactly what you have been doing for three years? Reading that deposition I found it outrageous that you went to the School Board and to Dr. McPhee's office and accused Dr. Bridgeman of committing the acts of vandalisam against the school....omgoodness and with no proof. What I gathered from that deposition is there were not alot of questions about documents you were denied...never a mention of that. (oh I am sorry a couple of questions about voided checks and who could sign and one question about a teacher sign out sheet) You received the documents...most of the questions were about what she has told the NAACP and the Justice Department about you. Why are you so concerned over that? This isn't about freedom of information at all...this is a witchhunt your on. I have told no lies...everything i have printed on this forum is the truth. What do you have against this woman? You only knew her for a short time. How could you hate someone so much that you know so little about. The obvious answer is racism...nothing else makes sense. Instead of all the money you have spent on hiring a forensic linquist, attorney's, redaction fees...why not donate money to the United Negro College Fund? My children left CS years ago, but like many I have been appalled by what's happened to Campus School. Muchto, I've waited to post my random thoughts because it's just so overwhelming to deal with all the falsehoods.
Of course parents were not allowed to "sit in the classrooms all day without purpose and visit in the hallways with teachers all day." What a silly remark.

Was the money spent for restaurants, Country Music Hall of Fame and Vanderbilt Suites PTC money? Surely parent donations would not be spent in this manner.
I won't even deal with the creep factor of having cameras all over a small elementary school.

Yes, Jill Hollis is so important and mighty it really flusters everyone when Jill does not give you the time of day.
We think a lot of our Bible Study Book carrying devoted to self, don't we. Still trying to convince everyone at the school you are a Christian (the proof is right above, your words)? They see through you, you know that right? They laugh behind your back . . . . I hope the only friend you have does not turn on you. Oops, maybe that is Bridgeman's plan, have Jill blog all this and guess who gets the blame. I am sure the Templeton's thought it would never happen to them too.

Thanks to Alice Parton and Vintage Mom for some perspective. Here are some more of my thoughts. There are many things that I can personally dispute. First, Tracy Pack is not the only person with an issue against Dr. Bridgeman. My family and I also have one based upon my story above and the way the PTC was taken over by Dr. Bridgeman, and was not used appropriately. Many others received retribution for asking for accountability besides the Pack family and myself. Jill Hollis sent e-mails to Dr. Bridgeman which were inappropriate for a parent to send to a principal telling her which families were “trouble”, which had “bullies”, and some more things which were basically telling her which to get rid of. We are all now gone. Jill now works in the front office and the long time secretary was fired. So, the only person who is determining what Dr. Bridgeman’s character and reputation will be is Dr. Bridgeman.
Also, above she states that people should be ashamed of themselves for reading “private emails” at Cracker Barrel. I wasn’t there, but I assume that she means this one and the other embarrassing emails that she and others sent to Dr. Bridgeman on a computer that was not personally owned by Dr. Bridgeman. That was why these are NOT personal/private emails

I remember coming up to you and telling you that I hoped you and I could get along as parents of children in the same class, and agree to disagree on some of the questions I had (back in the fall of 2009). You said, “Of course, we are fine,” while at the same time you were sending these emails with instructions on what Dr. Bridgeman should be doing to select families at the school. A group of three was caught in a lie by the ptc board and Dr. Bridgeman. They didn't know that minutes were being taken at a meeting...when they saw they were caught...one threw the other under the bus...sorry PHD. She really is your friend though. One of the trio actually said the PTC should be dissolved..only because she was no longer in charge. shame. The PTC board at the time chose not to inform the general assembly of what had taken place, but to handle this with some dignity and respect. I can see where that got us now. We should have shared it all!!! We thought we were protecting the integrity of the club. Wow...now the trio...have grown into monsters and want to hurt the very people that kept their nasty secret. Those lies and the lack of respect many had lost for them is why they left. Why keep blaming only one of the people that knew the lie? I once heard that Pack wanted Bridgeman fired, two families asked to leave, and all of the families that chose to leave reinstated, along with the teachers that left. He needs to live in a snow globe...you can't control everything around you. The school is fine. Jill is fine...and yes she is comfortable with her personal relationship with Christ....I have to ask you...are you right with God...remember he sees your heart! I sleep like a baby at night...wanna know why? because this forum has given me the ability to defend the truth as I know it.
