Emergency Medical Services Week will be celebrated during a free community fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
The week will recognize the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services, said Paramedic Terry Cunningham who organized the fair.
“This event gives the community a chance to meet the people that risk their lives everyday to help save a life everyday,” Cunningham said. “We are very proud of the men and women that work for Rutherford County Emergency Service and the citizens should be very thankful and confident for the highly trained employees we have here.”
Events include displays of the Special Operations Response Team vehicles, ambulances, fire engines, police cars and Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s LifeFlight helicopter and information about bike safety and health issues and checks of child safety seats.
Games, jumping inflatables, giveaways and food will be available.
