Frances Esmer Faulkner Lancaster, age 91, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Feb. 28, 2013 at Woodbury Nursing Home.
She was a native of Murfreesboro and a member of Bellwood Baptist Church. Frances’ mother passed away when she was only seven years old and her father when she was 21 years old. In 1941 Frances married Henry Lancaster and they had their only son in 1945.
She has many nieces and nephews that love her dearly. Frances loved the Lord Jesus and enjoyed singing hymns and listening to music. She was full of love and a caring friend to many.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher Lee Faulkner and Kitty Smotherman Faulkner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lancaster; son, David A. Lancaster; brother, Buster Edward E. Faulkner; and sisters, Temperance Lehew, Belle Smotherman Manier, Sarah Cook, Edna Smith and Ann Cooper. She is survived by her brother, Aaron W. Faulkner; grandchildren, Dawn Lancaster, Debbie Lancaster and Joey Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
Chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel. Burial will follow at Whitworth Cemetery with Roger Faulkner, Wendell Lehew, Ralph Lehew, Mark Smotherman, Dwight Smith and Andy Faulkner serving as pallbearers.
