Eagleville, Siegel, Oakland and Riverdale played well enough in regular season play to make the TSSAA football playoffs. The first round takes place Friday, Nov. 2.
In District 1A, Eagleville (6-4) garnered a four seed and was matched with Monterey (5-5). The Eagles face off against the Wildcats at home.
In the second round on Nov. 9, the Eagles would face Moore County (10-0), who drew a bye in the first round.
Rutherford County's qualifying District 6A teams ended up in the same bracket.
Siegel (10-0) and Oakland meet in the first round on the Stars' home turf.
Blackman (7-3) drew Cookeville (5-5) in the first round and will play on the Cavaliers' field. Should the Blaze advance to the second round, they'll face the winner of the Stars-Patriots game.
Riverdale (7-3) takes on Cane Ridge (8-2) in Antioch in the first round. If the Warriors win, they'll face the winner of a Bradley Central (6-4) and McMinn County (9-1) match up.
Division II BlueCross Bowl state championship games are set for Nov. 29 at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville.
Division I BlueCross Bowl Class 1A, 3A, and 5A championship games are Nov. 30. |
