| Smyrna was recognized by Forbes as one of top 25 places in America to retire.
The town was also awarded the same honor in 2007 by U.S. News and World Report.
The Forbes cited Smyrna’s low cost of living and low housing costs, as well as its proximity to Nashville and Murfreesboro and “air quality”.
The high quality of life is based on amenities such as Smyrna’s 10 parks, public golf course and seven miles of greenway, the article said. All of which can be enjoyed in Tennessee’s mild climate. |
