Flu vaccines available in Rutherford County

The Rutherford County Health Department, located at 100 West Burton Street in Murfreesboro, is offering H1N1 flu clinics for anyone who has not yet received the vaccine on Tuesday, Dec. 8, Wednesday, Dec. 9 and Thursday, Dec. 10 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Both the injectable H1N1 and the nasal H1N1 FluMistĀ® are available. No appointment is necessary to receive the vaccine. The H1N1 flu vaccine will be provided at no charge.

We would like to thank those of you who have patiently waited to let the priority groups be given the vaccine first. We are now able to give the vaccine to anyone who wants to receive it.

The Rutherford County Health Department will continue to announce when there will be a H1N1 clinic. Also, information about upcoming clinics and vaccine availability are on the Tennessee Department of Health Web site at http://health.state.tn.us/H1N1.htm.
