NASHVILLE – FirstBank Mortgage Partners has launched the Next Generation Mortgage Scholarship, giving families in Tennessee the opportunity to receive a $1,000 college scholarship for a child.
Executives said the initiative is part of the company’s commitment to education and helping customers plan for the future.
“FirstBank Mortgage Partners is dedicated to helping our customers plan for the future, and we want them to realize that it’s never too early to start saving for college,” said Don Holsinger, president of FirstBank Mortgage Partners. “The Next Generation Mortgage Scholarship gives us the opportunity to help families and students achieve their dreams of a college education and a bright future.”
Customers who receive a mortgage from FirstBank Mortgage Partners in the 2013 calendar year will automatically be entered in a random drawing for a $1,000 scholarship for a child, stepchild, adopted child or foster child living at home.
There will be one annual drawing for each of the more than 50 mortgage bankers, with the first drawings being held in February 2014.
The scholarship program is also open to qualifying customers in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Those not selected in the initial random drawings will automatically be placed into a multistate pool, and one additional winner will be drawn for a $1,000 scholarship.
