From the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department:

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department’s District 8, Engines 1 and 4, Ladder 6, and Rescue 7 responded to an apartment fire at 1710 E Northfield Boulevard just after 9:30 Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, District 8 discovered heavy flames from the downstairs apartment window. Crews were able to get the fire out quickly.

“Crews did a great job getting the fire knocked down,” Acting Shift Commander Joe Barrett said.
Damage was mainly contained to Apartment O-1 in the bedroom area. However, the upstairs apartment received some smoke damage. Meters to both apartments were pulled and the American Red Cross assisted the residents. No injuries were reported with this incident.
Assistant Fire Marshal Tracy Summar was called to the scene to conduct a routine investigation.
More information will be released when available.
