Linebaugh Public Library System wants all area residents to “Fill Your Belly, Feed Your Brain,” during National Library Week, April 12-18, by eating out at local restaurants.
During that week, restaurants in Murfreesboro and Smyrna will participate in the second annual Restaurant Fundraiser by donating a portion of their sales to the library to raise money for the library’s children’s book fund.
“We’re delighted to partner with these generous local restaurants to help raise money for the library,” said Rita Shacklett, director of the Linebaugh Public Library System. “We encourage all members of the community to go out to support these local businesses by enjoying a great meal and helping the library all at the same time.”
Eight restaurants have pledged to donate a portion of their sales from a specific night during that week. Domino’s in Smyrna has promised to donate $1 for every pizza ordered with a mention of the library.
Several other restaurants, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Donut Country, Liquid Smoke, Miller’s Grocery, Newk’s Express Café, The Parthenon, Sante Fe Cattle Co., and Toot’s of Murfreesboro and Smyrna, have made a one-time donation.
Visit the library’s Web site (www.linebaugh.org) for a more detailed listing of participating restaurants.
