What are the hours of the Farmer's Market? I went by and they were closed.

I have heard that unless you get there at 6-7 am, most of the produce is gone or seriously picked over. Is this true? This has kept me from going, since I would probably visit more at the 9-11am times. Please let me know. Also, is there any chance that this would be more than 2 days per week? Thanks!

Like most things, sooner is usually better, but there is still produce available particularly at 9 a.m. But there are still items available at 11 as well.

There was so much produce there yesterday, it is hard to imagine you would not have been able to find what you were looking for regardless of what time you went.

Mike, Is it hard to get in and out of the market place, or to find a parking place? I've never been before.

There's a large parking lot. It can get a bit congested, but I have never had a problem finding a spot or getting in and out. Usually I am able to find one very close to the pavilion.

Murfreesboro needs a produce store like Nashville's Maxwell Brothers or The Produce Place where we can buy fresh produce (preferably local) at convenient times. I make it in to the farmer's market occasionally to buy tomatoes and squash, but it takes a special trip to get there during the open hours. I've given up trying to find local peaches here and have just started buying them from the supermarket.

Thanks to all for your information. I am determined to get there next Tuesday. I wish that there was going to be a market somewhere this Friday because I really wanted some fresh tomatoes. Oh well, maybe a 5-6 day Farmers Market will be in M'boro's future.

Perhaps the market will extend its hours when the it moves into the facility on John Rice Blvd.
