Vendors at Farmers' Market under the shed at Cannonsburgh on Front Street spread beyond the shelter Friday morning offering a wide selection of area-grown produce.

Tomates of many varieties remained available for $1 pound with lots of squash, cucumbers, okra and peppers.

Corn and beans were not so plentiful but choices were available. Extremely nice looking peaches and cream corn was available from one vendor for $4/doxen with Avalon triple sweet corn at 50 cents an ear.

White half runner grean beans were $4 a tray with a few other varieteis availabl.e

Watermelons were quite plentiful, running for $3 to $5 depending on size and a large number of pumpkins were on sale.

Lots of baked goods and live plants were also for sale.

Farmers' Market is open form 6-11 a.m. each Tuesday and Friday through October.
