| Farmers Market: Cool, strange pumpkins for sale |

A marvelous morning at Farmers' Market today saw a few less vendors and a few less customers but still plenty of fresh produce for sale under the shed at Cannonsburgh Village on Front Street, just a couple of hundred feet off Broad.
One vendor has a large trailer bed of unusually colored and sized pumpkins fo sale at $5, 4 and 3 each.
A few green beans were still available at $3/tray along with okra at $2/tray.
Tomates remained plentiful at $1/pound while one vendor offered some delicious-looking peach tomatoes, small, yellow ones, at $2 a pound.
Farmers' Market opens from 6-11 a.m. each Tuesday and Friday through the end of October.
Other prices for available produce today included:
Apples: $4, 6, 10 a basket depending on size.
Cabbage: $2/head
Red-leaf lettuce: $4 in pot, $3 cut.
Turnip greens , mustard and spinach: $3, large bag.
Cucumbers: $1 for four small ones.
Burpless cucumbers: 50 cents each.
Acorn, butternut, spaghetti squash: $1 medium, $2 large.
Zucchini: $1, two small ones.
Eggplant: $1, three small ones, $1 for larger.
Assorted hot peppers: $1/tray.
Red, green peppers: $1/two
Gourds: $1/each
Sweet potatoes: $1 pound.
White potatoes: $1/pound
Turnips: $1/pound.
Yellow squash: $1/pound.
