Exchange Club's prayer breakfast Nov. 24

The two Exchange Clubs of Murfreesboro have announced plans for their 36th Annual Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at the Doubletree Hotel on Old Fort Parkway.

The breakfast is a part of the clubs’ national effort to remind citizens Americans are truly “One Nation Under God,” said Donna Gibson and Lee Colvin, presidents, respectively, of the Evening and Noon Exchange Clubs.

This year’s program will feature five community leaders who will each tell of the importance of prayer to his or her business or profession. Then each will deliver a prayer for their area of work.

The speakers are Linda Gilbert, MTSU (education/youth); Lee Moss, Mid South Bank (business); Sandi Russell, retired director, Heaven Sent Adoption Agency (social work/non-profits); Murphy Fair, TV analyst and sports pollster (sports); and Ernest Burgess, Rutherford County mayor (government).

Tickets for the breakfast are $13 and are available from any member of the two Exchange Clubs. For further information or for tickets, may call Rebecca Talley at 542-2657 or Donna Gibson at 713-095.

The Exchange Club is a National service organization composed of men and women working to fulfill its National Program of Service with emphasis on Community Service, Americanism and Youth. The National project of all Exchange Clubs is the Prevention of Child Abuse. Exchange clubs sponsor the Exchange Club Family Center at 115 Heritage Park Drive in Murfreesboro.
