Did Ramsay die? Second paragraph says "Starlett Custer, 19, was indicted for first-degree murder of fellow student Ashley Ramsay." Shouldn't that be 'attempted first-degree murder' or did Ms. Ramsay die?

Ramsay did not die. That is an error for sure. Big difference between murder and attempted murder.

Also, I don't understand how she got charged with attempted first-degree murder when this obviously was not pre-meditated. This was road rage (or "parking rage")

Please note I am speaking for myself, not my agency.

As the parent of an MTSU freshman, I find this savage slashing horrific_and feel it was under-covered by most media.

Why, for instance, did this story not get national play when the bulletproof purse did? This bright, beautiful young woman was permanently disfigured OVER A PARKING SPACE!

And, DLakers, I think Custer formed intent somewhere between cutting in front of Miss Ramsay and when she got out, armed herself with a blade and started carving with deep and powerful blows.
