Evelyn Jean Sears Turner, 88, was born in rural Coffee County Tennessee on September 14, 1921. A graduate of the 1939 class of Sharonville High School, Sharonville Ohio, she attended Southern Methodist University before serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After her children were grown, she returned to work at Poplar Bluff Hospital, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and retired to Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Owen and Mabel Miller Sears and one sister, Cleora Sears Ross. Jean is survived by two children, Bonnie Turner (Gore) Ervin of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Wylie A. (Trudie) Turner of Jacksonville, North Carolina and one sister Bonnie Curry of Downey, California. She had three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brian Ervin and James William Turner.
