Eva Lee Brown, 98, was born on Dec. 24, 1914, and died Oct. 24, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Lincoln County and lived most of her life in Rutherford County. She was employed by Sullivan’s and J.C. Penny’s department stores and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd Brown; daughter Lavadia Frank; parents, Carl G. Hines and Laura Oma Eakes Hines; two brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Brown and his wife, Carleen, of Murfreesboro; and her daughter Donna Livingston, of Murfreesboro; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, located at 820 S. Church St. in Murfreesboro.
A chapel service for Mrs. Brown will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, with Ralph Springer officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow the service in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
