Pittsburgh-based Chromalox announced plans last week to expand its La Vergne manufacturing facility by the end of March 2009.

The manufacturer of electric heat and control products will add an additional 50 to 100 jobs over the first two years of the 145,000-square-foot plant’s operation.

Four smaller facilities in Wisconsin and Tennessee will be consolidated and moved to the new La Vergne location at 1347 Heil-Quaker Blvd.

Kitchen 2 Kitchen is now open in the space formerly occupied by Super Suppers.

Mandi Reeves, who owns Kitchen 2 Kitchen with her husband Terry, offers a variety of home-cooked meals customers can take home and bake themselves.

Unlike Super Suppers, dishes served up at Kitchen 2 Kitchen are already assembled, she said. The Reeves took over the operation July 15.

Kitchen 2 Kitchen is located at 132 St. Andrews Drive, Suite G.

Entrees prepared from Mandi Reeves’ own recipes include casseroles, oven-baked dinners and stovetop meal. All meals are prepared in the kitchen at Kitchen 2 Kitchen.

Some of her specialties include lasagna, other pastas and meatloaf.

The Reeves, of Smyrna, said Kitchen 2 Kitchen provides restaurant quality dinners at cheaper than grocery store prices. The business also caters individual and company events.

Mandi Reeves said Kitchen 2 Kitchen can feed a family of six for just $27.

“It is affordable,” she said. “It is less than what you would spend going out to eat.”

To celebrate the opening of Kitchen 2 Kitchen in Murfreesboro, all ready-to-go entrees are discounted 20 percent in the month of August. There are also special offers for those who join the Kitchen Club in August.

The Kitchen Club offers those who want a selected number of dinners every month a special club price with savings of up to 37 percent off regular prices.
