Equipment stolen from closed Chef Raymond's

Burglars stole more than $19,000 worth of equipment from Chef Raymond’s restaurant after the owner permanently closed Sunday the South Church Street business, Murfreesboro Police reported Wednesday.

Items stolen from owner Raymond Daugherty included seven projectors valued at $12,000, three big-screen televisions and one flat-screen television, Officer Michael Fowler reported.

In a related incident, Officer Joshua Borel reported a man tried to give another restaurant owner different items taken from Chef Raymond’s but Daugherty did not want to prosecute after the items were returned to him.

Officers filed another series of complaints about vandals shooting paint ball guns at cars, damaging the paint.

People who have information about Chef Raymond’s may call Detective Kerry Thorpe at 893-2717. People with information about the paint ball vandalism may call Crime Stoppers at 893-STOP between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
