Elmer J. Freeze, of Woodbury, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Stones River Hospital. He was 90.
Survivors: sons W.J. Freeze of Murfreesboro, Kirby & Louise Freeze of McMinnville, and Roy & Tammy Freeze of Woodbury; grandchildren Johnny Freeze, Jody Lane, Melody Hyder, Kimberly Cantrell, Chris, Michael and Wendy Freeze, and Amanda & Joshua Curtis; great-grandchildren Kristlynn & Hope Lane, Arrie Elizabeth, Will & Katherine Hyder, Lee & Lilly Mae Cantrell, Ashton Freeze, Faith & Alissa Kilgore, and Jailynn & Tyler Meeks.
Mr. Freeze was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Bessie Moore Freeze and his wife, Annie Mae Rogers Freeze.
A member of Smith Grove Church of Christ, he was the owner of Freeze Electric, a Cannon Co. Sherriff’s Deputy, Assistant Police Chief, Capt. Of Cannon Co. Rescue Squad and Mooretown Fire Dept. He also worked at Woodbury Funeral Home as a police escort helping people across the street.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. Herb Alsup will officiate. Interment will be in Cherry Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23.
Honorary Pallbearers: will be members of the Cannon Co. Rescue Squad and the Mooretown Fire Dept.
