Elbert Dean Hill, age 70,  passed away on May 4, 2012.

He was a native of Rutherford County. He graduated from Walter Hill High School in 1962. He served in the U.S Navy for 21 years. He is a Vietnam and Persian Gulf War Veteran. He worked as a HVAC Technician. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Tullahoma.

Elbert was preceded in death by his parents; Arnold Phillip Hill and Clura Moore Hill, and wife, Gail Butler. He is survived by his brothers; Arnold Phillip Hill Jr. of Murfreesboro, Jerry and Chris Hill of Murfreesboro, sisters; Sherry and Steve Massengill of Murfreesboro, Elois and Jim Davis of Smyrna, 2 step-brothers; William and Shirley Andrews of Bonfay, FL, Walter and Norma Andrews of Hixon, TN,  step-sister, Elizabeth Neely of Port St. John, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, May 8, 2012 at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home. A chapel service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers with chaplain Williams officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Davis, Andrew Johnson,  Brian Hazel, George Davis, Michael Gilliland, and Steve Massengill.
