Early voting continues through July 28

Early voting for the Thursday, Aug. 2, state and federal primary and county general elections began Friday and will continue through Saturday, July 28.

Voters will cast ballots in the county general election for property assessor, road superintendent, road board and school board candidates. Voters in the city of Murfreesboro will also vote for two seats on the school board.

Voters are reminded that they will need to present a state or federal government-issued photo identification card in order to vote in person, whether during early voting or on Election Day.

Examples of acceptable forms of ID – whether current or expired – include driver licenses, U.S. passports, Department of Safety photo ID cards, U.S. military photo IDs, and other state or federal government-issued photo ID cards.

However, college student IDs are not acceptable.
