The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce will hold the ninth annual "Creating the Balance" women’s conference Friday, Oct. 28, at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in Murfreesboro, and attendees now have an extra incentive to reserve their spot early. Early Bird registration – $55 for Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce members and $75 for non-members – is available online now through Aug. 15 at www.rutherfordchamber.org. The conference, presented by State Farm, is a one-day event designed to bring area women together to learn, network, discuss and grow.
The keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Kelly Swanson, a comedian and motivational speaker, who will bring her message, “Stand Up and Stick Out,” to Rutherford County. In addition to the keynote speech, attendees will participate in topical breakout sessions and have the ability to shop from local vendors on-site. “Creating the Balance began as a way to connect and empower area women, and nine years later, has proven to remain relevant in today’s society,” said Stephanie Brackman, vice president of operations for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to offer an Early Bird registration, and hope many people take advantage of it.” The conference will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After Aug. 15, prices will be $65 for Chamber members and $85 for non-members.
