Earline Mae Thigpen, 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Mrs. Thigpen was born in Chattanooga to the late James and Dorothy Snell. She was a teacher for various schools and was a member of Hillview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clipper Thigpen; sons, Ken R. Thigpen (Patti); James Rick Thigpen; Dwayne R. Thigpen; daughter, Theresa A. Thigpen all of Murfreesboro; brother, James A. Snell of Chelsea, Ala.; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 from 2-6 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. W.D. Thomason officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
