EARL J. FIELDS, age 84, of Smyrna died Thursday, January 21, 2010. He was the son of the late Willis and Willie Smith Fields. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Willie Earlene Fields, and his son, Mark Fields.
Funeral service will be 9:00 am Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Daniel Carr and Rick Chambless will officiate. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Fields Ware of Bell Buckle, Karan Fields (Kevin) Killebrew of Smyrna, and Cathy Fields of Smyrna, 8 grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Danielle, Collin, Bryce, Aaron, McKenzie, and McKayla.
Mr. Fields served his country proudly in the US Navy during World War II and was a construction supervisor until his retirement. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, 615-459-3254, www.woodfinchapel.com
