The Rev. E. Ralph Davidson, age 86, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 2, 2012 at his home after a lingering illness.

He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Ernest and Erma Davidson, but has lived in Murfreesboro for the past six years where he has been a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church.

Davidson is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Melva Davidson; two daughters, Beth (Paul) Stevens of Murfreesboro and Sue (Mike) Bailey of Grand Rapids, Michigan; five grandchildren, Kristi (Britt) Henderson, Jill (Bobby) Gierucki, Kim (Bill) VanStensel, Lindsay (Ben) VanStensel, Ben (Hannah) Stevens and seven great grandchildren. Rev. Davidson has spent sixty years in various Christian ministries, forty years of which were as a pastor, ten years as a financial counselor with Christian Financial Concepts and ten years as a missionary with Source of Light Ministries in Madison, GA.

In lieu of flowers gifts may be donated to Alive Hospice or designated in Ralph’s memory at Source of Light Ministries, Madison, GA.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, July 6 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Norris officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
