DUSTYN MICHAEL TAAPKEN, age 23, of Smyrna, died Friday May 20, 2011. A native of Springfield, IL. he had lived in Smyrna most of his adult life.
Mr. Taapken is survived by his mother and step father Debra and Robert” Bob” Chandler of Smyrna, Father and stepmother David and Janet Taapken of IL., sister Alicia (Joe) Winningham of Smyrna, his grandmothers Evelyn McLaughlin and Josephine Lyons both of IL., step grandmother Marcelle Chandler of AL., his special nephew Noah better known as Kinfolk to Dustyn, as Dustyn was known as Roaddog to Noah, and is also survived by several aunts, uncles and many friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Charles McLaughlin and a nephew Curtis Taapken.
