The quacker hung out with the native bovines, gazing at the beauty of the valleys and mountains between Dublin and Galway, Ireland.
Before training for the annual Tenn Duck Derby, quackers are donning their sunglasses and vacationing throughout the world.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, this quacker, traveling with Whit and Sara Wylie of Murfreesboro, relaxed at McDermott’s Pub in Dingle Peninsula, Ireland. The quacker hung out with the native bovines, gazing at the beauty of the valleys and mountains between Dublin and Galway, Ireland.

The quacker and his flock of 5,000 friends will compete in the annual Tenn Duck Derby Saturday, June 11 in the Stones River behind the Sportsman’s Club on Medical Center Parkway.

People may adopt a duck for $5 apiece. The quickest quacker that paddles to the finish line first earn fabulous prizes for their adoptive parents.

Proceeds support the Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford and Cannon counties, a nonprofit organization whose staff helps child victims of child abuse and sexual abuse and their families heal.

Individual and corporate sponsors are needed for the Tenn Duck Derby by March 31. Interested sponsors may contact the CAC at 867-9000.
