"Duck Derby Bash," a Kentucky derby style party with hats, sundresses, summer attire, has been set for Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 6 p.m. Kathy and Pat Ryan's Bear Branch Cove to kick off the Duck Derby season to support the Child Advocacy Center.
The party promotes the 3rd Annual Duck Race and adoptions of the ducks for race which will be July 18th. Duck adoptions will be available for $5 beginning at the Duck Derby Bash. This will be the first opportunity for the general public to adopt their winning ducks! The plan is to "float" 10,000 rubber ducks this year.
Tickets are $50 in advance, $55 at the door, and Include dinner and dancing. ; Specialty drink of the party is "the duck julep."
All proceeds go to support the Child Advocacy Center which provides services for child victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending family members.
