By early afternoon Thursday Murfreesboro side streets were started to be covered with snow and ice.

Snow is causing slick spots throughout Rutherford County, the sheriff’s office reported.
One crash was under investigation on Burks Hollow Road.
Deputies reported slick roads on Weakley Lane and Couchville Pike in northeast Rutherford County, Bell Buckle Road in south Rutherford County, Baker Road and Shirley Road in the Blackman community and Midland Road near Rock Springs Road in southwest Rutherford County.
