MURFREESBORO – Two people were killed this morning in a double shooting on Sycamore Circle that could be related to gang activity, according to police.
Murfreesboro Police reported they responded to 2206 Sycamore Circle at 1:45 this morning where they found one person dead and another seriously injured from gunshot wounds. The injured person was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and died shortly after arriving, according to police.
The Criminal Investigations Division Gang Investigation Unit is looking into the double homicide and asking anyone with information to call 893-2717 or CrimeStoppers at 893-STOP (7867).
The names of those killed are being withheld until family members are notified, police said.
Two people gunned down early today in a possible gang-related incident have been identified.
Robert Aubrey McAdoo Jr., 44 of 334 E. State St., and Michael Orlando Evans, 47, of 2027 Olympia Place, were killed early this morning in a shooting at 2206 Sycamore Circle, according to Murfreesboro Police. Officers responded to the scene around 1:45 a.m. and found one of the men already dead. The other was transported to St. Thomas Hospital at Rutherford and died later.
No arrests have been made in the double murder, which is being investigated by the department’s CID gang unit, according to police.
