Dorothy Earlene Campbell, age 86, of Murfreesboro, passed away on October 24, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County and retired as an C.N.A. from NHC. Dorothy was a Christian and a faithful member of AA. Those who knew and loved her will miss her generous spirit, love and dedication to her family and ability to see the good in everyone.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Willie E. Pardon and Georgia O. Bly Pardon; her husband, Sutton Campbell; brother, Winfred Pardon; sister, Iva Perry and special aunt, Hallie Lane. She is survived by her son, George T. “Sonny” Patterson of Murfreesboro; sisters, Peggy Chamberlain of Beech Grove, Betty (Bob) Ewton of Jacksonville, FL, Bobbie (Larry) Zachary of Murfreesboro, Annie Pope of Smyrna and Linda Blanton of White Bluff, TN; daughter-in-law, Martha Storm; three grandchildren, Joy Patterson, Hope Patterson and Natalie Steger; and two great-grandchildren, Lily and Iris Nevers.

Chapel service will be held at Jennings and Ayers Chapel on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Jim Averitt officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with nephews serving as active pallbearers.
