Dorothy Christopher, age 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away on November 27, 2012 at Community Care of Rutherford County.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Dorothy worked as a caregiver for the elderly.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Pete Turney Christopher and Thelma Williams Christopher. She is survived by her son, James Robert Mayes; daughters, Dottie Holder, Elizabeth Mears, Bonnie Tucker, Patsy McCoy and Janette Rodgers; brother, Wesley Christopher; sister, Betty May Tucker; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren, Joseph Williams and Cailyn Blaylock.
