Doris Jean “Memaw” Robinson, age 69, of Murfreesboro, passed away on June 20, 2012 at her residence.

She was a native of Bowling Green, KY but lived in Rutherford County for the past 33 years. Doris was a member of the Baptist Church and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She served in the United States Army.

Doris was preceded in death by her father, Chester Paul Pearson; husband, John E. Robinson; and sister, Barbara Payne. She is survived by her mother, Edith Mae Willoughby Pearson of Bowling Green, KY; sons, John Paul (Gwen) Robinson, Robert Lee (Karrie) Robinson and Walter (Nickie) Robinson all of Murfreesboro; daughter, Teri R. Robinson of Murfreesboro; brothers, Carrol Pearson, Terry Pearson and Doug Pearson; sisters, Sylvia Cox, Pam Owens and Patty Salts; eight grandchildren, Paul Robinson, Amber Robinson, Chloe Fann, Brennan Robinson, Aidia Robinson, Ashlyn Robinson, Conner Robinson and Colton Robinson; and her dog, Kayla.

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Darden Shadrach officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.
