|Dora Bryan Palmer, age 95, of Murfreesboro, passed away on July 1, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a native of Wilson County but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. She was a homemaker and a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Fisher and Mattie Eastes Bryan; husband, James H. Palmer; son, James B. (Jimmy) Palmer; brothers, Morris, Nelson, Edwin, Robert, Hoyte, Ray and Earl Bryan; and sisters, Mattie Brown Zerelli, Nell Thompson and Frances Hoffman. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Glenda) Palmer of Murfreesboro and Bob (Susan) Palmer of Smithville; daughter, Peggy (Dickie) Thomas of Murfreesboro; sister, Mary Bryan Hightower of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Linda Lee Palmer; grandchildren, Laura Robinson, Holly Hughes, Ashley Hall, Meredith Thomas, Kyle Thomas, Clint Palmer, Leah Palmer, Claire Palmer and Jay Palmer; and four great-grandchildren, Maggie Robinson, Emily Robinson, Jared Robinson and Joey Hughes.
Church service for Dora will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at North Boulevard Church of Christ with David Young, Julian Goodpasture, and Rev. B.E. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Jennings & Ayers Chapel and from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at North Boulevard Church of Christ.
