A Domino’s Pizza deliverer was struck on the back of her head and robbed while making a delivery Monday near Halls Hill Pike, a sheriff’s deputy reported.

The 23-year-old deliverer took a $43.59 order of pizza and chicken about 11 p.m. to Lolita Drive, Deputy Robert Teasley reported.

When she got of her car, a man flagged her down and gave her coins and crumpled bills she placed atop the heat wave bag, the deputy reported. A second man approached her from behind.

She told Teasley the “second male subject approached walking behind her and hit her in the back of the head with an unknown heavy object that she did not believe to be a fist or a rock.”

After she was struck, both men pushed her on the ground and struck her a few more times in the side of her head, Teasley reported. One of the men took cash and a check from her before running down Dorian Boulevard.

Detective Bryant Gregory responded to investigate.

Both men were described as black men in their 20s with slender builds. They wore jackets and hats.
