A Murfreesboro Police Department detective resigned Wednesday morning after being arrested for domestic assault in Smyrna.

MPD officals accepted James Boske’s resignation in light of his “self-reported arrested” on Oct. 17, according to an MPD press release.

It was the second time in three years Boske was charged for assaulting his ex-wife.

Boske was hired as a police officer in 1996 and promoted to detective in 2000.
