I’m fairly excited about a dollar general opening up, and I think that Mercury Blvd. is a good place for it. Mercury Blvd. is a very popular street, but it doesn’t have anything important on it. It is really more of a connector road, but it would be nice to see that change in the future. I hadn’t heard about prizes for the grand opening, but it is definitely a good business strategy that will be sure to attract some attention. The gift cards are only for ten dollars, but that could go pretty far t Dollar General, plus those first fifty will also receive a tote bag along with the next one hundred and fifty. I think it’s also cool that there is going to be a special sale and some other giveaways, ensuring that customers will be in the store all day. It will be nice for college students to have a new economically sound place to shop for groceries (maybe something other than Ramen). The store creates a few new jobs in a market that is flooded with applicants during the school semesters, and with a crew of six to ten people they should have an excess of applicants year round.
