A dog pinned a suspected burglar against a tree until the man struck the dog and fled Saturday evening near Lascassas, a sheriff’s deputy reported.

Neighbor Angela Cotter of Rhodes Lane was walking with her dog when it began acting strangely, Deputy Andrew Towle reported. She saw a white man peering into neighbor Craig Miller’s home and her dog ran toward the man.

“The male subject noticed the dog running at him and took off running toward Cainsville Pike,” Towle reported. “She then stated that her dog pinned the subject against the tree until the subject struck the dog with a blunt object.”

Her dog, who apparently was not injured, and Cotter pursued the man but lost him near Cainsville Pike.

In another case, Deputy Matt Clagg reported a burglar kicked in the door of Christina Bogle’s home early Saturday morning on Emery Drive while she was at home.

Bogle heard someone knocking at the door and heard the door kicked in, Clagg reported. She ran outside the back door to her neighbor’s home to call the sheriff’s office.

“She never saw anyone inside or outside the house as she was exiting,” Clagg reported.

Clagg searched the house for the burglar who was not located. He found a wreath and door hanger lying on the floor and a table moved. Nothing appeared missing from the home.

Crimes are bad now But It will get alot worse. You will never stop criminals But our Goverment Will make it 50+ times worse when they pass this law. it has allready been proven in other country's when they Ban gun rights to the honest people Crime more than doubles. If you dont Believe check this out & look at the web sites listed. Its coming for sure & thanks for all you supporting Obama in the election. Here is what my uncle says about the current ammo shortage:

I first learned of the ammo shortage through an NRA alert last summer. I started buying up rifle and handgun ammo, especially 9mm and 223. I bought 200 rounds of 223 last week and will buy another 200 next week. Also, I plan to pick up a good supply at the Amarillo gun show next Saturday. You can still buy ammo at the Texas Wal-Mart's.

It isn't the tax increase I am worried about. There is a conspiracy afoot by a dirty little group calling itself "Ammunition Accountability" to control the ammo supply nation wide. Today, ammunition registration is back on the front burner because a company that claims to have the technology to turn the 80-year-old concept into reality is eager for profits at the expense of our rights. Calling itself "Ammunition Accountability," the company is trying to market ammo registration by portraying itself as a "group of gun crime victims, industry representatives, law enforcement, public officials, public policy experts, and more." This movement was initially supported in about 13 states, but now 18 states have pending coded ammo house bills to enact legislation to mandate coded ammo in their respective states. The legislation basically requires that all ammo sold must be coded by the manufacturer. The legislation also requires that it is unlawful (subject to a fine or imprisonment or both) to own any non-coded ammo. The non-coded ammo must be turned in to the local authorities or destroyed. This includes reloaded ammo also. How's that for socialism.

Below is the link to the NRA article explaining where this legislation is coming from and the agenda. Take time to read the article. I am shocked that Arizona is part of the 18 states with pending legislation. Thank God that Texas, New Mexico or Colorado have not opted in on this movement. http://www.nrapublications.org/oj/nobullets.html

Below is the link to "Ammunition Accountability's web site. They are a dirty little organization hell bent on taking our guns through controlling the supply of ammo. They are supported/funded by the Brady Anti-Gun movement. Click on each state to read how their house bills are drafted. I was skeptical until I started reading the actual bills. The Arizona bill is downright scary. Folks this is for real. http://www.ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm

I have never heard of this, however, it sounds like a good idea. with the bullets being coded, if a criminal shots and kills someone, the coded bullet with ID the shooter for a stronger case to convict him.

Hey tnlonestar, did you stop to think that if people like your uncle would quit hoarding ammo then there there wouldn't be a shortage?

It's the same concept as when everybody runs out and buys milk when it snows and suddenly Kroger no longer has any milk. It happened with the gas "shortage" last summer.

Calm down, dude. Nothing bad is going to happen to your ammo.

emmarae You Missed the whole point? When they pass this law it's going to make it harder for the honest people to purchase Bullet's & this is the begining of the U.S.A. taking our guns away to protect ourselfs. You think Criminals will use coded Bullets???? No There will be alot of Bullets selling underground to the criminals & Criminals Re-loading there own shells & Ect..... Then the criminals want be afraid to break in to anyones house Because they'll know the honest people cant protect themselfs! READ,RESEARCH, and See what the goverment is doing before you make a stupid coment. Criminals DONT USE LEGAL GUNS NOR WILL THEY USE INCODED BULLITS!!!!!

By: attagirl on 2/16/09
Jeez, man, you got no right to call anyone else stupid.
