Dixie Lee Fowler, age 73, of Murfreesboro, passed away on December 29, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a native of Cape Girardeau, MO but resided in Rutherford County for the past 40 years. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and worked in the human resources department at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Patricia Hamby; husband, Robert Kent Fowler; and son, Patrick Kent Fowler.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (John) McCreery and Mendy Fowler of Murfreesboro; son, Michael Fowler of Murfreesboro; brother, Larry (Bonnie) Hamby of Murfreesboro and five grandchildren, CJ and Eric Fowler, JT and Joshua McCreery and Tay Smith.
A Chapel Service for Dixie will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Ken Polk officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, 820 S.
