Celebrate a healthy holiday with Discovery Center Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
"Holiday Open House," sponsored by Middle Tennessee Medical Center, features healthy holiday cooking in the kitchen with MTMC, steel drums and other live music, “Dangling Snowman” craft in Creation Station and even a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Representatives from the MTMC Center for Breast Health will be on hand to provide bone density screenings and mammography information for parents. Plus, visit with area pediatricians from Tennessee Pediatrics.
Beautiful holiday trees on display highlight cultural traditions of Mexico, Sweden, Japan, Ukraine, as well as Pioneer and Cherokee times. Plus, explore displays of Hanukah and Kwanzaa traditions. Unique decorations and detailed information with each tree provides a learning experience for the entire family.
Come celebrate the holiday season with Discovery Center! The Great Discoveries Gift Shop will also be open with free gift wrap and great stocking stuffers. Remember to bring your holiday guests to Discovery Center for a visit they will long remember.
