Discovery Center will be free admission Saturday, March 6 from 10 am - 4 pm to celebrate NEA’s Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday.

Come to Discovery Center Saturday, March 6 from 10 am - 4 pm to celebrate NEA’s Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday.

This event is sponsored in part by Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC-LaVergne Plant. Other partners in the celebration include Linebaugh Library, Murfreesboro Education Association and Rutherford Education Association.

Admission and activities are free all day and include performances by Murfreesboro City Schools Extended Schools Program‘s Performing Arts Group, Linebaugh Library Bookmobile and portable puppet show, great new traveling exhibit The Bone Zone: Carnival of Healthy Choices, storybook snacks and fun art. Also door prizes throughout the day!

Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization providing a hands-on museum and nature center for Middle Tennessee and the surrounding area. Open Monday-Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00pm, the museum serves the public through exhibits and programs in the arts and sciences.
