With Labor Day approaching and the Blue Raiders set to open the 2009 football season Saturday, fall is here regardless of what the calendar says.

And, as always the community activity here cranks up big time, not even factoring in multiple sports offerings from numerous golf charity events to endless high and middle school sports contests, regular happenings like this week’s First Friday concert downtown or a plethora of school fundraisers, open houses and activities.

A large number of notable events in September alone provide something for almost any taste or interest.

And, the events run across our community from La Vergne to Eagleville and all points in between.

Here’s a Murfreesboro Post Top 10 list (and it’s at least 11 because a lot is going on) of events in September with community wide interest worthy of consideration.
