Sheriff’s Deputy Will Lehew returned to regular duty Saturday after shooting a suspect accused of leveling a shotgun at him, Sheriff Robert F. Arnold said Monday.

Lehew shot suspect Roland Garrison, 45, of 211 Lindsey Lane after a domestic dispute at Oct. 12 at his home in the Blackman community. Lehew was placed on routine administrative leave with pay during while Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents conducted an investigation.

TBI agents released preliminary results to District Attorney William Whitesell who said, “Based on what I know right now, I don’t see why he can’t go back to work.”

Whitesell expects the results from TBI soon.

Garrison was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and released the next day. He was charged with four counts of aggravated assault of Lehew, Cpl. Tyler Morten, Cpl. Scott Martin and Deputy Jonathon Stephens.

A hearing is set for Garrison Dec. 6 in General Sessions Court.

GOOD JOB I GUESS. THE DEPUTY DOG SHOULD HAVE KILLED THE SCUMBAG. ANYONE WHO POINTS A SHOTGUN OR ANY WEAPON AT ANOTHER AND PLACES THEM IN FEAR OF THEIR LIFE NEEDS TO BE KILLED. SAVE THE TAXPAYERS MONEY. LEARN HOW TO SHOOT BETTER DOG AND EMPUTY YOUR WEAPON NEXT TIME. THE THREAT IS THEIR UNTIL THE SCUMBAG IS LIFELESS.

Duck, if he learns to shoot better, will you take a spelling and grammar class?
It's better to have people think you're an idiot than to "open your mouth" and confirm it.
