Demetra Steele, age 77 of La Vergne died Thursday, January 14, 2010. She was a native of McKenzie, TN and the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Kathleen Haddock Bogle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Steele, brothers, Steven and J.K. Bogle, sisters, Mildred Aitleen, Novacine Scott and June Ownby.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, TN and from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at McKenzie Funeral Home, McKenzie, TN.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday at McKenzie Funeral Home, McKenzie, TN. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, TN.
She is survived by her son, Charles Edward “Eddie” (Amy) Steele, II of Smyrna, TN, daughter, Lisa Carol Steele of Lavergne, TN, sisters, Eloise Garner of Spring Hill, TN, Mary Jo Vaughn of Nashville, and Glenda Hodges of Gleason, TN, grandchildren, Christopher Joe Loper of Springfield, TN and Austin Edward Steele of Smyrna, TN.
