The Blue Raider Athletic Association is offering a number of travel packages to Middle Tennessee football fans wanting to attend the New Orleans Bowl Dec. 20 when the 9-3 Raiders will take on Southern Mississippi.
Options include:
BRAA-GRAY LINE GOES BOWLING
The BRAA and Gray Line of Nashville are organizing two bowl itineraries to give fans maximum flexibility in planning their trip to the Big Easy. Both itineraries include round-trip motorcoach transportation and hotel accomodations at the JW Marriott Hotel in the French Quarter. Taxes are included in the cost, but game tickets are not included. Space is limited, so reserve now by calling Gray Line at 615-883-5555 ext. 119. Single, double, triple and quad-occupancy rates available. Deadline to reserve space is Monday, Dec. 14.
Three Nights ($263 per person, double occupancy)
Depart Murfreesboro Friday, Dec. 18 at 8 AM with several short stops and lunch on your own. Returns after three nights leaving New Orleans Monday morning.
Two Nights ($202 per person, double occupancy)
Depart Murfreesboro Saturday, Dec. 19 at 5 AM with several short stops and lunch on your own. Returns after two nights leaving New Orleans Monday morning.
Bus Transportation Only ($80 per person)
Does not include lodging or game ticket.
C'MON RIDE THE TRAIN
Another affordable travel option for fans is Amtrak. The Cresent line passes through several stations in Alabama and Georgia with service to New Orleans. Round-trip coach fare for a single passenger from Birmingham, AL to New Orleans is less than $80. A couple can travel round-trip from Atlanta to New Orleans for about $260.
