Curtis Morris, 80 of Woodbury, passed away Jan. 25, following an extended illness. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Mark Morris & Robbie Lee Moore Morris.
He is survived by his son, Donnie Lee Morris of Woodbury; Daughter, Renita Haley of Woodbury; 2 granddaughters, Callie & Hannah Haley both of Woodbury; Brother, Lowell Morris of Centertown and sister, Judy Shewmake of Murfreesboro.
Curtis was a member of the Sunny Slope Church of Christ, a farrier and owner of a tack & shoe repair business. He was the tax Accessor of Cannon County from 1972 - 1976. He was also a founding member of the Cannon County Walking Horse Assoc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Young Morris and his sisters, Rayola Teal & Joyce Grizzell.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm till 9 pm Wed. at Woodbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, Jan. 28, at Woodbury Church of Christ with Bro. Greg Mitchell & Bro. James McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donations may go toward the construction of a memorial at CCWHA Campground.
